What do you know about your own values?
I believe that everyone should act with integrity. Being honest not only to others, but with yourself, shows that you can be open and willing to hear both sides of every story. I believe that we should approach situations with an open mind and treat everyone how you'd want to be treated. I know that I see and love people for who they are because of course we aren't going to like everyone we meet, but to accept them for who they are and appreciate why they are how they are.
What does this mean for your role as a teacher?
I hold my values very strongly and close to my heart. I feel that my values are appropriate and can be applied in classroom situations so I can role model them to my students. I also believe that the students will teach me a lot about my values and will perhaps bring new values and beliefs to the table as I grow and develop as a teacher.
